Milonga

O pampa é a paisagem onde nasci. Foi ela que me ensinou a ver.

Aqui o minimalismo não é ausência, é escolha: retirar o supérfluo para que o essencial apareça. A linha do horizonte, a textura do solo, as variações lentas da luz, os acontecimentos simples da vida rural. É desse vocabulário que nasce o que chamo de minimalismo del sur.

Em preto e branco, o pampa se despe de ornamento. Restam forma, contraste e proporção, e uma sobriedade que mostra, ao mesmo tempo, a dureza do dia a dia e o tempo fora do tempo que a paisagem carrega.

Uma homenagem ao tempo e à saudade de quem partiu sem nunca ter saído de casa.

The pampa is the landscape where I was born. It was this landscape that taught me to see.

Here, minimalism is not an absence, but a choice: removing the superfluous so that the essential may emerge. The horizon line, the texture of the soil, the slow shifts in light, the simple events of rural life. It is from this vocabulary that what I call ‘minimalismo del sur’ is born.

In black and white, the Pampas strips itself of ornamentation. What remains is form, contrast and proportion, and a sobriety that reveals, at the same time, the harshness of the day and the timelessness that the landscape carries within it.

A tribute to time and to the longing for those who have departed without ever having left home.
